Grandmaster William Huggins

​

Grandmasters Bill and Ann Huggins, who are both Kukkiwon certified Master Instructors, own and operate Huggins Taekwondo Academy.  Grandmaster Huggins

was a student of the late Master Hyung Ung Hong. Tragically Master Hong lost his life on September 1, 1983. He was a passenger on Korean Airline flight 007 that was shot down by the Soviet Union when the plane drifted into Soviet Airspace.

Master Hong was a student of Grandmaster Hae Man Park, current president of the World Chung Do Kwan Federation.         

 

Personal Bio:

  • Owner and instructor of Huggins Taekwondo Academy since April 7, 1986 (32 years)

  • Advisor/Examiner for the Clemson University Taekwondo Club since September 1983

  • Teach program (Kick for the Carolinas) for under privileged children at Huggins Taekwondo Academy

  • Oversee Taekwondo curriculum at two affiliated schools in Florence, S.C. and Summerville, S.C.

  • Advisor & Black Belt Examiner for the Clemson University Taekwondo Club, September 1983 to the present

  • Educator/History Teacher at Mauldin High School, Mauldin, S.C.  2005 to present

  • Hobbies: hiking and backpacking
